Automate system information reports
For technical support professionals and PC inventory tasks, System Examiner supports command-line parameters and filename parameters to create, save and share reports automatically.
- AutoCreate
- Start report creation without clicking Create Report.
- AutoOpen
- Run AutoCreate, then open the locally saved report in the default browser.
- AutoShare
- Run AutoCreate, then upload the report as if Share Report was clicked.
- AutoShareOpen
- Run AutoShare, then open the shared report URL in the default browser.
- AutoClose
- Close the app after the report has been created and/or shared.
- NoGUI
- Run AutoCreate and AutoClose without the main window. The app still appears in the Windows Task Bar.
- Filename "x"
- Set the report filename or full path. A filename without a path saves the report to the user’s Windows Desktop.
For example, run this command to save report.html to the Windows Desktop and close the app:
SystemExaminer.exe /AutoCreate /AutoClose /Filename=report
You can also put parameters in the executable’s filename. This is useful when sending the app to a client:
SystemExaminer AutoShareOpen AutoClose.exe
This creates the report, shares it, opens its URL and closes the app. For everyday use, just run System Examiner and click its buttons.
